EMIR ABDELKADER PIONEERS INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN CONDUCT The “Emir Abdelkader and International Humanitarian Law” Conference in Algiers revolved around Abdelkader’s contribution to modern humanitarian law and was sponsored by Algeria’s Ministries of Defense and Justice along with the Emir Abdelkader Foundation and International Committee for the Red Cross. Recruits at the Marine Corps University also study Abdelkader’s military campaigns and conduct on the battlefield. ABDELKADER INTERACTIVE CURRICULUM NEARS COMPLETION Islamic Networks Group (ING) in San Jose, California, will soon launch online lesson plans about Abdelkader’s life. The interactive curriculum will trace his life and leadership, both of which provide a model for inter-cultural and interfaith interaction for today’s world.

 ESSAY CONTESTS EXPAND TO FRANCE Abdelkader Global Leadership Prize essay contests were introduced to students in France during October in collaboration with the Abdelkader Education Project.
