The Abdelkader Education Project (AEP) believes everyone must work together to protect and unify our shared society at a time when it is threatened by division. We live this belief by advocating for cultural knowledge, educating leaders, and promoting the Emir Abd el-Kader as a model humanitarian.
We advocate for cultural understanding and educate leaders through curriculum development, scholarship contests, and community engagements. Our curriculum, created by experienced educators, is designed to educate students of history and social studies from sixth grade to the university level about different cultures. The lessons can be downloaded free of charge on our website. We provide scholarships to students and educators through annual prize contests that require applicants to demonstrate an interest in cultural understanding. Finally, we engage the community by participating in various events that enable us to present our material to broad audiences.
The Emir Abd el-Kader is a model of humanitarianism and civility. We promote his life as an example of unity in a world afflicted with division. The Emir is a central and consistent theme in our educational material, scholarship contests, presentations, and community engagements.
